Job Summary:
As a Healthcare Worker with Recruitory Ltd., you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, residential care facilities, and private homes. You will be responsible for assisting patients with their daily activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care:
- Assist service users with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help service users with mobility and physical activities, including lifting, transferring, and using mobility aids.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, ensuring their mental and emotional well-being.
- Health Monitoring:
- Monitor service users vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, and report any changes to the medical staff.
- Assist in administering medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, adhering to proper protocols.
- Observe and report any signs of illness, injury, or unusual behaviour to the nursing staff or healthcare providers.
- Support with Daily Living Activities:
- Assist service users with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring they receive proper nutrition according to dietary plans.
- Support service users in maintaining a clean and safe living environment, including light housekeeping duties.
- Help service users manage their daily schedules, including attending medical appointments and engaging in social activities.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care, including observations, treatments provided, and service users progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Follow all healthcare protocols, regulations, and guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of service users.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in healthcare support or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of basic healthcare practices and procedures.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that require mobility and strength.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
- Certifications:
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification is required.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or equivalent is preferred not essential.
